Barwa Real Estate Group and Erga Qatar Architectural and Engineering Consultants signed an agreement today which marks the first steps of executing the second phase of (Dara) project. The project will be developed into the largest residential project in Fox Hills as all the phases of the project will be constructed over 147,000 sqm, owned by Barwa Real Estate Group.
Eng. Ahmad Abdulla Al Abdulla, Acting Group CEO of Barwa Real Estate, and Mr. Elie Chebly, Chief International Projects Officer & Partner Architect, signed the agreement as part of a ceremony attended by Executive Directors from Barwa, along with the project team from Erga Qatar. As per the agreement which is worth approximately QR 88 million, Erga Qatar will conduct the design & supervision works of the second phase of Dara project. The design phase and the supervision phase will go in parallel. The design phase will be implemented over two years, while the supervision & implementation will be done over three years.
Works on Dara (B-F) will be divided into 9 phases over 3 years starting from September 2015 until September 2018. The project is expected to offer over 2000 high quality residential apartments and serviced apartments, of different sizes, as part of 53 buildings for residential & multi use. The project will provide as well basement car parks, hotels, restaurants, commercial units, green spaces, swimming pools and sports facilities. Other entertainment facilities will be added to the project to serve tenants and visitors. In addition to being located on the main commercial street of the city.
Eng. Ahmad Abdulla Al Abdulla described the project saying: “once ready, Dara B-F will be a distinctive residential destination offering a unique atmosphere of luxury to its tenants and visitors. Barwa is keen to develop distinctive projects in Qatar which are benchmarked against international standards of real estate projects. Visitors of Dara B-F will enjoy an array of entertainment amenities and luxurious services”. He added: “it’s a pleasure to be working with Erga Qatar as a one team in order to develop this project as per the standards and quality which Barwa pursues”.

It’s worth mentioning that (Dara B-F) is a continuation for the first phase of the project (Dara A) which Barwa launched last year during its participation in Cityscape Qatar 2014. When asked about latest updates of (Dara A), Eng. Ahmad Abdulla Al Abdulla pointed out that from now on, Barwa will be taking faster steps towards implementing the first phase of the project to conform to the agreed timelines.
