Inspection visit to Mustawdaat project in Umm Shahrain

Barwa Real Estate Company has organized an inspection visit to Mustawdaat project in Umm Shahrain Area - northern Qatar, during which Mr. Issa bin Mohammed Al Mohannadi, Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Barwa Real Estate visited Mustawdaat Project in Umm Shahrain Area.

The visit included a detailed presentation on the progress of the project after the lease, followed by a field tour to follow the storage work procedures in Mustawdaat warehouses.

This visit comes as part of Barwa's policy to inspect its projects after delivery in order to communicate with the tenants and identify the obstacles that may occur during work.

Mustawdaat project is part of the initiatives of the Government of the State of Qatar to meet the market requirements of the storage areas necessary to meet the needs of citizens and residents of the State of Qatar at a reasonable storage cost that supports the reduction of prices in general.

Spread over 500,000 square meters of land, the project includes four types of low-cost warehouses, including dry, air-conditioned, chilled and frozen warehouses.

The project, which has a total construction area of 273,113 square meters, includes a residential complex dedicated to the housing of the employees working in the complex and offices for the management of the project and a number of shops and services in addition to the infrastructure of the project, which includes 13 substations, internal roads, loading and unloading areas, drinking water, fire and irrigation networks. It also includes a network for rain drainage, drainage and surveillance cameras with all the required services of guard and security rooms.

Mr. Issa bin Mohammed Al Mohannadi, Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Barwa Real Estate, explained that the aim of Mustawdaat project is to provide the needs of the Qatari market of logistics areas and modern warehouses at low prices that contribute to reduce the cost to consumers and support Qatar Vision 2030 and contribute to its economic and urban development. The project is also considered one of Barwa's real estate partnerships and cooperation with the government.

Al Muhannadi praised Mustawdaat project as another addition to Barwa Real Estate Company's achievements in Qatar.

For his part, Mr. Mohammed Hayel Al Omar, CEO of Al Sarh Holding Group, the lessor and operator company for Mustawdaat project, stressed on the importance of the project and the modern means and equipment which work on high-quality storage technologies and tools for loading and unloading and other equipment for Mustawdaat users, pointing out that the percentage of occupancy in Mustawdaat warehouses has amounted to 70%.
