"Mr. Brent H. Wilton, Secretary General of the International Organization of Employers in Geneva, visited yesterday Barwa Al Baraha project (workers city), accompanied by Eng. Abdulla Hajji, Project Manager, and Mr. Ali Al Derbasti, Advisor at Barwa Real Estate.
During the visit, Eng. Abdulla Hajji made a presentation about the project amenities and latest updates, after which Mr. Wilton had a tour around the project and looked at workers accommodation, play grounds and dining halls. After his tour, Mr. Wilton braised the project as it aims to improve the living conditions of workers in Qatar.
It is worth mentioning that Barwa Al Baraha is the largest development being constructed by Barwa to serve the workers community in Qatar. The second phase of the project offers workers accommodation, as it provides 64 residential buildings for workers, each gathering 130 rooms. It will also provide 16 residential buildings for junior & senior staff each gathering 97 rooms.
Barwa Al Baraha gathers all needed facilities for residents including sports facilities, a shopping mall, restaurants, a medical centre and public spaces. "
