"Barwa Real Estate Group officially appointed the leading local consultancy Arab Engineering Bureau, for the delivery of the company’s newest development “Motor City”. Eng. Ahmad Abdulla Al Abdulla, Acting Group CEO of Barwa Real Estate, and Eng. Ibrahim Al Jaidah, CEO/ Chief Architect of Arab Engineering Bureau signed an agreement as per which the Arab Engineering Bureau will be providing the “Motor City” project with Pre –Concept Master Plan, Infrastructure and Architectural Design, in addition to Cost Management and Tender Documentation services, as part of a transaction worth QR 49 million.

Barwa Real Estate had revealed the “Motor City” project earlier in Oct, during a press conference attended by Barwa higher management and the press; following its rental of a land extending over 1,150,000 square meters, located in Rawdat Rashid near Salwa Road, to develop and run the “Motor City”.
Upon its completion, the Motor City will provide showrooms with wide range of used-cars services, car workshops, maintenance centres, and warehouses for used cars as well as rent-a-car services. More services such as offices for Traffic Department, Technical Testing, offices for Ministry of Interior, Civil Defence, Ministry of Municipality, banks and car insurance office will also be available at the location. Moreover, the project will contain commercial units, a hotel, staff accommodation for families, workers accommodation, a driving school, a race track, in addition to other necessary facilities."
