A delegation from the Ethiopian Embassy in Qatar headed by H.E. Ambassador Mesganu Arga Moach, met with Eng. Ahmad Abdullah Al Abdulla, Barwa Real Estate Acting Group CEO on Monday 26 January 2015. The Ethiopian delegation visit aimed to strengthen the economic and investment ties with Qatar represented by one of its biggest real estate and investments companies, and discuss the group’s future direction and the potential of studying the investment environment in Ethiopia for potential future business opportunities.
The meeting gathered Ethiopian Ambassador H.E. Mr. Mesganu Arga Moach, and the Minister Mr. Shibru Mamo Kedida, with a number of Barwa officials who are concerned with real estate development & investment.
Commenting on the visit and the potential of conducting business in Ethiopia, Eng. Ahmad Abdulla Al Abdulla, Barwa Acting Group CEO said: ”Ethiopia is becoming one of the most growing countries in Africa whether in industrial, agricultural, economic or hospitality fields. The country maintains an annual development rate that has been increasing steadily in the last 10 years, which makes it a promising business environment for foreign investors. Although we in Barwa are focusing on domestic developmental projects at the moment, yet we realise the importance which lies in the investment environment in Ethiopia, and we promise to study the chances of doing business there, once the decision of expansion outside Qatar is made”.
