"Barwa Real Estate Group in collaboration with the Blood Bank in Hamad Medical Corporation organised a blood donation campaign in Barwa headquarters on Wednesday 11 Dec 2013. The campaign which aims to support the blood bank in Qatar attracted large participation from the employees of Barwa & its subsidiaries. Group CEO, Eng. Abdulla Abdulaziz AlSubaie, emphasized the essential role of blood donation campaigns and its effective contribution to build a better life, which are the core values of Barwa Group.
Eng. Al Subaie said: “we strongly believe in the importance of such campaigns which give great support to health organisations in Qatar and save the lives of many people who need it. This is a commitment that we take upon ourselves, to always be there for the people of Qatar. Employees from Barwa & subsidiaries who took part in the blood donation campaign share the same faith & values of the group”.
The campaign was held as part of Barwa’s corporate social responsibility programme, while the group continues to build more efficient communication channels with the community through sponsoring different social activities in health, education, environment, sports and culture sectors.
Eng. AlSubaie added: “this blood donation campaign is a small part of a rich programme of activities targeted at the Qatari community. As Barwa continues to reap local & international recognition for its successful business portfolio, the group is keen to pay extra attention to the way it carries out its operations”.
Al Subaie pointed out to the role Hamad Medical Corporation is playing. The HMC is becoming the main pillar of the medical system in Qatar, and an active contributor in accomplishing Qatar National Vision 2030. AlSubaie said: “Hamad Medical Corporation changes people’s lives to the better. They are able to fulfill the needs of blood units through those ongoing campaigns. We will continue to support their activities in the future not only through blood donation campaigns but also in training medical specialists and developing medical research”."
